Yachats Hit and Run

On March 7, 2009 at about 09:00 a.m. Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy Abby Dorsey responded to a report of a traffic crash on North West Cedar Ave, Yachats.

The victim reported her vehicle was struck causing damage, and the suspect vehicle was stuck at the scene on her property.

Deputy Dorsey arrived at the scene, and after contacting witnesses determined the crash occurred at approximately 01:38 a.m.  At about 2:20 hours Deputy Dorsey contacted the registered owner of the vehicle, Gwendolyn A. Gisher, 46, of Yachats.

Gisher admitted she was the driver of the vehicle and that she had left the scene without contacting law enforcement, or the owner of the vehicle she had struck.

"Gwen" was issued a citation for Failing to Perform Duties of a Driver (Property Damage).
